Kathmandu: The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has called on the government to give precedence to the export of Nepali products through Nepali embassies worldwide.
During a meeting with Foreign Minister NP Saud, the CNI delegation, led by Rajesh Kumar Agrawal, emphasized the importance of economic diplomacy in boosting tourism, enhancing the export of Nepali goods, and attracting foreign investments.
CNI Chairman Agrawal highlighted the necessity of establishing an investment-friendly environment to attract foreign direct investments, underlining the significance of policy stability in achieving this goal.
According to Agrawal, fostering stronger business relationships with foreign investors is crucial to attracting foreign direct investments. The CNI proposed that Nepali embassies abroad facilitate regular interactions and engagements with foreign business representatives.
The delegation also requested the government to continue the cargo railway service currently operational from India to Biratnagar and to establish a "motor vehicle agreement" with India.
In response, Foreign Minister Saud assured the CNI that the government would prioritize the concerns and suggestions raised by the organization.
